Job Title: Lead Construction Superintendent – Multifamily Construction

Location: Davie, Florida

Job Description:

Position Overview:
As the Lead Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the construction process for our multifamily residential projects in Davie, Florida. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:
– Lead all on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and vendors.
– Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones.
– Coordinate with project managers to develop and update project schedules and budgets.
– Identify and address any issues or obstacles that may arise during the construction process.

2. Quality Control:
– Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with project specifications and building codes.
– Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to identify and resolve any quality issues promptly.
– Collaborate with project teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Safety:
– Promote and maintain a culture of safety on the construction site, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
– Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for on-site personnel.
– Investigate and document any safety incidents or near misses, and implement appropriate corrective measures.

4. Communication and Collaboration:
– Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site coordination with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
– Facilitate regular meetings and updates to ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project team members.
– Provide timely reports and updates on project progress, milestones, and potential risks to senior management.

Qualifications:

– Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on multifamily residential projects.
– Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
– Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams of subcontractors and vendors.
– Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes, with a commitment to quality and safety.
– Proficiency in project management software and tools.
– Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
