Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating electrical systems for ground-up hyper-scale data center construction projects. This individual will play a key role in our pre-construction phase, providing accurate and detailed estimates to support project planning and execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive electrical estimates for hyper-scale data center construction projects, including but not limited to power distribution systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, and low voltage systems.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
  • Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop accurate and competitive bids.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities during the estimating process and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance project profitability.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, market trends, and cost factors related to electrical construction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating, with a focus on hyper-scale data center construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and components, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or similar programs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex project documents and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
