Below is the job description. This position will require construction experience of 1-2 with single-family and or multi-family for new construction and would require the individual to report to an office in Bothell, WA. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Building relationships with new vendors
  • Visiting facilities to learn about products and services
  • Acquiring labor and material on a timely basis to ensure construction schedules and quality standards are met and within budgets
  • Maintaining specifications
  • Creating and managing budgets
  • Preparing and monitoring contracts with subcontractors
  • Monitoring the accuracy of insurance and licensing documentation for subcontractors
  • Managing the scope of work documentation
  • Creating bid packages and coordinating receiving bids
  • Comparing pricing and negotiating to get the best material or labor at the best price
  • Managing material lead times and deliveries
  • Coordinating and assisting the accounting team when it comes to payments
  • Researching and providing information on subcontractor payment inquiries
  • Managing upgrades from homeowners
  • Keeping up to date with pricing changes within the markets
  • Negotiating and researching value engineering opportunities
  • Evaluating subcontractors by considering the price, quality, availability, and other criteria
  • Confirming payments and maintaining receipts, records, and inventories


$100,000 – $120,000 per year
