Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience managing ground-up, wood-framed multi-family or student housing projects, with a proven track record of success. As a key member of their team, the Senior Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the planning and execution of ground-up construction projects, from pre-construction through to completion.
  2. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met or exceeded.
  3. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
  4. Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, negotiating contracts and agreements as necessary.
  5. Manage project schedules, identifying and addressing potential delays or obstacles to ensure timely project delivery.
  6. Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  7. Provide regular project updates to clients, stakeholders, and senior management, addressing any concerns or issues as they arise.
  8. Lead and mentor junior members of the project management team, providing guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in ground-up, wood-framed multi-family or student housing construction projects.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing projects with budgets of $50 million or more.
  4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage project teams.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6.
  7. Thorough understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  8. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED) are a plus.
